LeanLife sets up first North American production facility

LeanLife Health Inc. said Feb. 1 that it will take possession of a leased space in South Vancouver, British Columbia, for its first production facility in North America as soon as it secures insurance coverage.

The Canadian omega-3 health products retailer said it will invest C$350,000 on improvements, security systems and initial supplies for the 4,000-square-foot space. The main equipment used to produce LeanLife's omega products consists of a BioCube processing plant that is estimated to cost C$800,000. The company has so far incurred costs of C$630,000, according to the release.

LeanLife added that it has acquired laboratory and testing equipment needed for the testing of raw materials and finished product.
