The moves are listed by sector and by announcement date in reverse chronological order. The Europe and North America Hires and Fires columns will be published Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
China
* Beijing Capital Land Ltd. shareholders gave their approval for the appointment of Liu Xin as independent nonexecutive director, with effect from Dec. 5.
* CCCG Real Estate Corp. Ltd. said Chairman Wu Wende is planning to resign from all his boardroom roles due to "job changes," adding that Wu's resignation will not be effective until a replacement has been named.
* Zhou Chen began serving as Wuzhou International Holdings Ltd. independent nonexecutive director Dec. 1. He also took over the chairmanship of the audit committee and a membership seat in the nomination committee.
Singapore
* Lim Kok Hoong will step down as lead independent nonexecutive director of Starhill Global REIT's manager due to personal reasons, with effect from Jan. 1, 2018. Lim will also relinquish his chairmanship in the audit committee.
Tan Bong Lin, a nonexecutive independent director of APAC Realty Ltd., was appointed as Lim's replacement.
* Loo Choo Leong succeeded Chia Khong Shoong as Frasers Centrepoint Ltd. CFO. Chia stepped down Dec. 1 to focus on his chief corporate officer role.
Hong Kong
* Ping An Securities Group (Holdings) Ltd. appointed Gong Qingli CEO and executive director, effective Dec. 1. Gong also became a member of the remuneration and nomination committees.
Aside from other board changes, the company also said Cheung Kam Fai stepped down as managing director, but will continue to serve as executive director.
Japan
* Effective Dec. 1, Susie Koh retired as company secretary of United Industrial Corp. Ltd. Assistant company secretary Teo Hwee Ping took over the position of acting company secretary on the same day.
Thailand
* Amata Corp. PCL Chairman Surin Pitsuwan died Nov. 30 due to acute heart attack.
Australia
* Ingenia Communities Group named Andrew McEvoy as nonexecutive director, effective Dec. 1, succeeding Phil Clark, who left the company effective at the Nov. 14 annual general meeting.
* Cromwell Property Group nonexecutive director Richard Foster retired at the conclusion of the group's 2017 annual general meeting. Foster also stepped down from his directorial posts at Cromwell Corp. Ltd. and Cromwell Property Securities Ltd.
Leon Blitz's appointment as nonexecutive director was also approved during the meeting.
* Betty Poon, former Aurora Funds Management Ltd. CFO, was also removed as a director from the boards of Aurora Absolute Return Fund, Aurora Dividend Income Trust, Aurora Global Income Trust, Aurora Property Buy-Write Income Trust and HHY Fund. Poon was also terminated as secretary of Aurora Funds Management, and Managing Director John Patton took over the position.
* The appointments of Nicola Roxon and Georgina Williams as directors were approved by Lifestyle Communities Ltd. shareholders at the Nov. 28 annual general meeting of the company.
