Aena SME Q2 profit climbs 17.5% YOY

Aena SME SA said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to €1.40 per share, an increase of 17.5% from €1.19 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €210.2 million, a gain of 17.5% from €178.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 24.2% from 22.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 12.7% on an annual basis to €909.5 million from €807.2 million, and total operating expenses rose 13.9% on an annual basis to €540.1 million from €474.3 million.

Reported net income grew 25.7% year over year to €263.4 million, or €1.76 per share, from €209.5 million, or €1.40 per share.
