WesBanco redeems debentures for $8M

WesBanco Inc. said June 15 that it fully redeemed First Financial Service Corp. fixed-rate junior subordinated deferrable interest debentures due 2038, amounting to $8.0 million, excluding accrued interest.

The redemption was made at 100% of the principal plus accrued and unpaid interest. First Financial Service merged into WesBanco in 2016, as a result of its Your Community Bankshares acquisition.

The company also redeemed certain WesBanco-issued junior subordinated debentures.

Wilmington Trust Co. served as paying agent.
