Great Southern Bancorp selling Ames, Iowa, office following consolidation

Great Southern Bancorp Inc. agreed to sell its Ames, Iowa, office building to an undisclosed buyer.

Terms of the deal were not given and the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

The agreement follows the consolidation of Great Southern's Ames banking center into its North Ankeny, Iowa, office in September.

The parent company of Springfield, Mo.-based Great Southern Bank reported third-quarter net income available to common shareholders of $19.7 million, or $1.39 per share, down from $22.5 million, or $1.57 per share, in the same period a year ago.
