Toyota Motor North America sees sale growth in February

Toyota Motor North America, Inc. posted 4.5% growth in year-over-year February sales on volume and daily selling rate basis.

The automaker sold a total of 182,195 units during the month, up from 174,339 units in February 2017. These numbers include both Toyota division and Lexus sales.

Toyota division sales rose by 4.4% to 162,930 units, from 156,001 units last year. Lexus sales increased 5.1% to 19,265 units from 18,338 units.

Overall Toyota car sales declined 3.1%, with 74,709 units sold during the month. Toyota truck sales, however, grew 10.5%, with 107,486 units sold during the month.

The company has sold 349,251 units in the calendar year to date, a 10.0% increase on a volume basis and 7.8% increase on a daily selling rate basis.
