Theravance Biopharma Inc. said Renee Gala will resign as senior vice president and CFO on Jan. 2, 2019.

Gala became CFO of the George Town, Cayman Islands-based pharmaceutical company in December 2014.

The company intends to initiate a search for a new CFO and Gala has agreed to stay on through her resignation date to assist in a smooth transition.

Theravance manufactures an injectable antibiotic VIBATIV to treat patients with infections.
