BSL Ltd. fiscal Q4 profit climbs 83.5% YOY

4333261 said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to 1.15 Indian rupees per share, a gain of 84.2% from 62 paise per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 11.8 million rupees, an increase of 83.5% from 6.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.3% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to 909.3 million rupees from 876.3 million rupees, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to 855.4 million rupees from 829.5 million rupees.

Reported net income decreased 23.9% from the prior-year period to 14.8 million rupees, or 1.44 rupees per share, from 19.4 million rupees, or 1.88 rupees per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 6.36 rupees per share, a gain of 92.8% from 3.30 rupees per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 65.4 million rupees, a rise of 92.8% from 33.9 million rupees in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue totaled 3.78 billion rupees, compared with 3.80 billion rupees in the prior year, and total operating expenses fell year over year to 3.56 billion rupees from 3.62 billion rupees.
