UPDATE: Fire engulfs tanks at NuStar's Selby terminal in California

Two tanks at NuStar Energy LP's Selby Terminal in Crockett, Calif., caught fire Oct. 15.

In an emailed statement to S&P Global Market Intelligence, NuStar said that it has enacted its emergency response procedures and is working with first responders to extinguish the fire. The company added that the affected tanks were holding "very low volumes of ethanol" and adjacent tanks were being cooled to minimize the risk of fire spreading.

All personnel are safe and accounted for, the statement adds.

Contra Costa County health officials issued a hazardous materials release warning advising residents to shelter in place.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
