UGA Seismic to provide 3D survey of Echo Energy assets onshore Argentina

Oil and gas company Echo Energy PLC said Sept. 7 that it signed a contract with UGA Seismic SA for 3D seismic for leads in assets onshore Argentina.

Work will begin in November in Tapi Aike, followed by Fraccíon C and Fraccíon D, with completion expected in the second quarter 2019.

At least three independent exploration plays identified within the Tapi Aike license will be targeted with the 3D seismic to de-risk the drilling of four prospective exploration wells during the first exploration phase expected to begin in 2019.

Up to 41 leads have been identified at Tapi Aike with gross prospective resources of 50 Bcf to 600 Bcf, and total aggregated unrisked gas of as much as 22 Tcf.
