Rahima Food fiscal Q3 loss narrows YOY

Rahima Food Corp. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 amounted to a loss of 7 poisha per share, compared with a loss of 9 poisha per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 1.5 million taka, compared with a loss of 1.8 million taka in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin was 175.2%.

Total revenue came to 841,080 taka, and total operating expenses rose 8.2% year over year to 3.2 million taka from 3.0 million taka.

Reported net income came to a loss of 2.1 million taka, or a loss of 11 poisha per share, compared to a loss of 2.7 million taka, or a loss of 13 poisha per share, in the prior-year period.

As of April 29, US$1 was equivalent to 78.44 taka.
