Amphenol prices $900M senior notes

Electronic and fiber-optic connectors maker Amphenol Corp. priced an offering of $900 million of senior notes due 2030 with an interest rate of 2.8% per annum.

The offer is expected to close Sept. 10, subject to customary closing conditions.

The company plans to use net proceeds from the offering to fund previous tender offers for its outstanding 3.125% senior notes due 2021 and 4.00% senior notes due 2022, and for general corporate purposes, such as reducing borrowing under its U.S. commercial paper program.

The joint book-running managers of the offering are Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and MUFG Securities Americas Inc.
