Warehouse REIT in talks to buy industrial-asset portfolio from Hansteen

U.K.-based industrial real estate investment trust Warehouse REIT PLC, in partnership with a third party, is in talks to purchase a portfolio of industrial assets from Hansteen Holdings PLC.

The buyer said a deal could constitute a reverse takeover under the London bourse's rules for companies. Separately, however, Hansteen said that any deal would not involve a takeover of the company or Warehouse REIT's acquisition of any Hansteen shares.

Warehouse REIT's shares will be suspended from trading on AIM with immediate effect until either the announcement of a transaction or that a deal will not be completed.

Property Week reported July 26 that the portfolio is valued at £460 million.
