Pacific Continental shareholders OK sale to Columbia Banking System

Shareholders of Eugene, Ore.-based Pacific Continental Corp. approved its sale to Tacoma, Wash.-based Columbia Banking System Inc., the companies said June 8.

Columbia's shareholders approved the common stock issuance involved in the deal, which they said was valued at $644.1 million at the time of its announcement in January.
