Success Holdings Q2 profit climbs YOY

Success Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the second quarter was ¥53.07 per share, an increase from ¥24.57 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥278.1 million, a gain from ¥128.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 9.5% from 5.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 18.1% year over year to ¥2.92 billion from ¥2.48 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 14.0% from the prior-year period to ¥2.86 billion from ¥2.51 billion.

Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to ¥261.0 million, or ¥49.80 per share, from ¥110.0 million, or ¥20.99 per share.

As of Aug. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥124.53.
