Atmos closes $600M senior notes offering

Atmos Energy Corp. completed an offering of $600 million of its 4.300% senior notes due 2048, which yielded about $591 million in net proceeds.

Interest on the notes, having a 4.330% annual interest rate, would be payable every April 1 and Oct. 1 of each year starting April 1, 2019. The notes will mature Oct. 1, 2048, according to an Oct. 4 SEC filing.

Morgan Securities LLC, Mizuho Securities USA LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and TD Securities (USA) LLC acted as representatives of the underwriters for the offering.

Atmos is a Dallas-based natural gas-only utility that serves more than 3 million customers in eight states.
