Signature International Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 10.1 million ringgits, a gain from 2.4 million ringgits in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 14.2% from 5.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 65.7% year over year to 71.1 million ringgits from 42.9 million ringgits, and total operating expenses grew 41.8% year over year to 53.5 million ringgits from 37.7 million ringgits.
Reported net income rose year over year to 12.2 million ringgits, or 5 sen per share, from 2.9 million ringgits, or 1 sen per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 3.56 ringgits.
