Sempra Energy president/COO to retire; SolarEdge Technologies CEO dies

Power

* The Tennessee Valley Authority named William Kilbride to serve on the board's nuclear oversight committee and the finance, rates and portfolio committee, according to an Aug. 28 company filing.

* John Rittenhouse announced his decision to step down as CEO and board member of Electricité de France SA subsidiary EDF Trading Ltd. on Dec. 31. EDF Energy Ltd. Managing Director Béatrice Bigois will replace Rittenhouse, effective Jan. 1, 2020, according to a news release. Rittenhouse, who joined the company at its inception in 1999 as CFO and assumed the role of CEO in 2008, will assist through the transition process during the first half of 2020.

* Spark Energy Inc. appointed Azure Midstream Energy LLC CFO Amanda Bush as a class III independent director to its board, effective Aug. 27. Bush will join the board's audit, compensation, and nominating and corporate governance committees, according to an Aug. 27 news release. She will also chair the audit committee.

* Dominion Energy Inc. said in an Aug. 27 Form 8-K filing that Paul Koonce will step down as president and CEO of its Power Generation Group, effective Dec. 1. Koonce will remain with the company as executive vice president and strategic adviser to support transition until his retirement on Feb. 1, 2020.

* SolarEdge Technologies Inc. CEO, co-chairman and founder Guy Sella has died, the company announced Aug. 25. Sella recently took a leave of absence to address health issues after his condition "declined significantly." In his absence, SolarEdge had Nadav Zafrir as co-chairman and Zvi Lando as acting CEO.

* Joseph Householder will retire as president and COO of Sempra Energy, effective Dec. 1, the company said in a Form 8-K filing.

Oil and gas utility/midstream

* Neste Oyj on Aug. 30 said Jeremy Baines will serve as president of Neste US, effective Sept. 1. In his new role, Baines will support regional business strategies and act as the company's primary representative for the external community in the U.S.

* EQT Corp. appointed Kyle Derham interim CFO, according to an Aug. 29 SEC filing. While EQT searches for a permanent CFO, Derham will temporarily hold the position vacated by the company's previous CFO and senior vice president, Jimmi Sue Smith, whose termination without cause was effective Aug. 29.

* Paul Blanchard Jr. stepped down as president, CEO and a board director of Panhandle Oil & Gas Inc., effective Aug. 26. The company appointed Chad Stephens, who is currently lead independent director, as interim CEO, according to an Aug. 27 news release. Stephens will remain a director but will give up the lead independent director role to Mark Behrman. Both Stephens and Behrman have been board members since 2017.

* Washington Gas Light Co. named Elise Hyland a board member. Effective immediately, Hyland would replace board chair John Stark, who resigned Aug. 20, according to an Aug. 26 SEC filing. Her appointment would meet commitments related to the July 6, 2018, completion of the merger agreement among AltaGas Ltd., Wrangler Inc. and WGL Holdings Inc.

* Paul Heerwagen on Aug. 21 decided to step down as senior vice president of corporate development and strategy at Gulfport Energy Corp., effective Sept. 13. Heerwagen's resignation was due to his plan to pursue other opportunities and not because of a dispute or disagreement with the company, according to an Aug. 26 SEC filing.
