Atlas Honda fiscal Q4 profit climbs 9.8% YOY

Atlas Honda Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was 3.59 Pakistani rupees per share, an increase of 9.7% from 3.27 rupees per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 371.2 million rupees, a gain of 9.8% from 338.0 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 3.0% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to 12.19 billion rupees from 11.87 billion rupees, and total operating expenses grew year over year to 11.78 billion rupees from 11.51 billion rupees.

Reported net income rose 10.2% year over year to 626.4 million rupees, or 6.05 rupees per share, from 568.2 million rupees, or 5.50 rupees per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 17.66 rupees per share, an increase of 16.6% from 15.15 rupees per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 1.83 billion rupees, a gain of 16.6% from 1.57 billion rupees in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew year over year to 45.77 billion rupees from 44.48 billion rupees, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 43.05 billion rupees from 42.15 billion rupees.

The company said reported net income increased 17.5% year over year to 2.35 billion rupees, or 22.73 rupees per share, in the full year, from 2.00 billion rupees, or 19.36 rupees per share.

As of May 28, US$1 was equivalent to 101.92 Pakistani rupees.
