Soft99 fiscal Q4 profit falls YOY

Soft99 Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥11.30 per share, a decline from ¥11.45 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥245.6 million, a decline from ¥248.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 4.9% from 4.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell on an annual basis to ¥5.05 billion from ¥5.23 billion, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥4.71 billion from ¥4.90 billion.

Reported net income decreased 85.0% year over year to ¥37.0 million, or ¥1.70 per share, from ¥247.0 million, or ¥11.40 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥55.95 per share, a fall of 7.3% from ¥60.36 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥1.21 billion, a fall of 7.0% from ¥1.31 billion in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue decreased year over year to ¥21.34 billion from ¥21.60 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥19.60 billion, compared with ¥19.74 billion in the year-earlier period.

The company said reported net income declined 15.2% on an annual basis to ¥943.0 million, or ¥43.45 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.11 billion, or ¥51.39 per share.

As of June 25, US$1 was equivalent to ¥123.71.
