UBS names head of leveraged finance in EMEA; British United makes appointment

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a daily roundup of management and board changes at financial institutions in Europe. This feature excludes C-level leadership changes and previously reported stories.

UBS Group

* Swiss lender UBS Group AG named Sarah Mackey its new head of leveraged finance in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News. Mackey was instrumental in the development of the bank's European leveraged finance franchise, the publication said, citing the lender's global co-head of leveraged finance, David Slade. She also serves as the co-chair of the bank's EMEA diversity council.

Mackey's promotion follows a shake-up of the Swiss bank's investment business, which is expected to continue adding deal-makers, sources added.

British United Provident Association

* Cath Keers, a nonexecutive director at Funding Circle Holdings PLC, will serve in a similar role at the British United Provident Association Ltd., effective Nov. 1, according to an Oct. 11 release.
