ECONOS posts fiscal Q4 profit

ECONOS Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥44.5 million.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin was 3.6%.

Total revenue totaled ¥1.24 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥1.15 billion.

Reported net income totaled ¥39.0 million, or ¥59.29 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥100.90 per share, an increase of 33.4% from ¥75.61 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥66.4 million, an increase of 43.5% from ¥46.3 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 7.2% on an annual basis to ¥4.25 billion from ¥3.96 billion, and total operating expenses rose 6.2% year over year to ¥4.07 billion from ¥3.84 billion.

The company said reported net income grew year over year to ¥58.0 million, or ¥88.17 per share, in the full year, from ¥29.0 million, or ¥47.41 per share.
