RadNet forms AI-focused division, acquires remaining stake in Nulogix

Los Angeles-based RadNet Inc. established an artificial intelligence-focused division and acquired the remaining stake in privately held Nulogix Inc., which focuses AI solutions for the radiology industry.

Outpatient diagnostic imaging services provider RadNet's newly created division will focus on developing, acquiring and investing in technologies that focus on image interpretation and radiology business processes.

In addition to internally developing AI solutions through its newly acquired Nulogix team, RadNet will evaluate partnering, licensing and investing in solutions developed by others.

RadNet Chairman and CEO Howard Berger said that machine learning, big data applications and automation algorithms are expected to enable the company to deliver its services in a more cost-effective and efficient manner.
