KBC Bank Ireland names new CEO

KBC Bank Ireland PLC named Peter Roebben its new CEO, effective April 1.

Roebben, currently senior general manager of group credit risk at parent KBC Group NV's head office in Brussels, will succeed Wim Verbraeken, who has held the post since November 2013.

Verbraeken will take on a new position as senior general manager at the group's Brussels head office, effective the same day.

Roebben's appointment has received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland and the ECB.
