Rakuten Inc.'s vacation rental business Rakuten Lifull Stay will open its first condominium-type vacation rental facility Sept. 14.
According to a company release, the place will accept reservations beginning Sept. 10.
The four-story facility has 29 rooms and is located at 1-12-14 Dekijima, Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka in Japan. It is classified by the city as a national strategic special zone vacation rental property, which means reservations can be made from a minimum of two nights.
All units have a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, and are equipped with an internet connection, among other facilities. The place's security is provided by Rakuten Communications Corp.'s Anshin Stay IoT vacation rental operation support service, which uses devices like tablets and smart locks powered by internet of things technology to verify guest identities when checking in and managing keys.
Sekisui House Ltd. planned and built the condominium while Rakuten Lifull Stay oversaw the interior design, the Japanese internet and tech company said.
