SeaLink Travel fiscal H1 profit climbs 37.0% YOY

SeaLink Travel Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 5 Australian cents per share, a gain of 22.0% from 4 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$4.2 million, an increase of 37.0% from A$3.1 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew 9.0% on an annual basis to A$56.5 million from A$51.9 million, and total operating expenses increased 8.9% on an annual basis to A$49.3 million from A$45.3 million.

Reported net income rose 37.0% from the prior-year period to A$4.7 million, or 6 cents per share, from A$3.4 million, or 5 cents per share.
