Bâloise names chief IT officer

Bâloise Holding AG appointed Alexander Bockelmann to serve as chief IT officer and oversee a new group IT corporate division.

Prior to the appointment, Bockelmann worked for Uniqa Insurance Group AG, most recently as chief digital officer. He will take up the new role Feb. 1, 2019, and will report to CEO Gert De Winter.

UNIQA said the three areas of its digitalization division will report directly to CEO Andreas Brandstetter from February. It noted that Bockelmann was a management board member of UNIQA Österreich Versicherungen AG and UNIQA International AG.
