ASX-listed Bryah Resources Ltd. is expanding exploration efforts at its copper and gold prospective Bryah Basin project in Western Australia to include manganese targets.
The company said March 8 that recent sampling yielded high manganese grades, with the best result of 49.5% manganese taken from Exploration License E52/3237.
The announcement sent Bryah Resources' stock up by 25% at market close. Manganese is among the metals used in the production of next generation battery and power storage applications.
Exploration will focus on identifying targets suitable for small- to medium-scale mining which could be quickly brought into production. A geophysical survey was recently completed over the high-priority manganese areas to help in exploration and target generation.
Bryah Resources expanded its Bryah Basin project with two new tenements in November 2017, a month after it debuted on the ASX.
