StanChart confirms new head of metals and mining

Standard Chartered PLC appointed Richard Horrocks-Taylor global head of its metals and mining division.

Horrocks-Taylor was most recently head of metals and mining investment banking for Europe and Africa at Royal Bank of Canada's RBC Capital Markets. His planned departure for StanChart was first reported in May.

He will be based in London and report to Ananth Venkat, global head of StanChart's global industries group. Horrocks-Taylor started work at Standard Chartered in the week of Aug. 6.
