Clearlake Capital closes 5th fund at $3.6B

Clearlake Capital Group LP has closed its fifth fund, Clearlake Capital Partners V, with more than $3.6 billion in commitments.

The fund exceeded its original target and was oversubscribed, reaching its hard cap. It has started investing with several signed or closed transactions.

The funds' investors include public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, foundations and endowments, and family offices across North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC acted as adviser and placement agent, while Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal adviser for the new fund.
