U.S. hotels recorded positive performance for the week ended March 3, according to STR data.
Year over year, revenue per available room rose 4.1% to $83.04, and average daily rate moved higher by 2.3% to end the week at $126.06. Occupancy rose 1.7% to 65.9%.
Philadelphia, Pa.-N.J. logged the highest RevPAR increase of the top 25 U.S. markets at 22.6% to $90.66 and posted the largest increase in occupancy, with the metric rising 14.9% to 71.4%.
Miami/Hialeah, Fla., saw the largest rise in ADR, adding 12.2% to $252.25.
New Orleans saw RevPAR fall 24.1% to $109.54, the largest decrease. The market also posted the biggest ADR decrease, losing 17.6% to $149.91, and reported the steepest decline in occupancy, dropping 8.0% to 73.1%.
