Laive Q4 profit falls YOY

Laive SA said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 2 Peruvian céntimos per share, a decline of 36.3% from 4 céntimos per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.8 million soles, a decline of 36.3% from 2.7 million soles in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.4% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 5.3% year over year to 126.5 million soles from 120.2 million soles, and total operating expenses grew 6.3% year over year to 121.0 million soles from 113.8 million soles.

Reported net income declined 45.4% from the prior-year period to 2.2 million soles, or 3 céntimos per share, from 3.9 million soles, or 5 céntimos per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 10 céntimos per share, a decline of 34.6% from 16 céntimos per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 7.6 million soles, a fall of 34.6% from 11.6 million soles in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased year over year to 495.0 million soles from 472.3 million soles, and total operating expenses rose 6.0% year over year to 474.2 million soles from 447.4 million soles.

The company said reported net income fell 33.3% on an annual basis to 9.1 million soles, or 12 céntimos per share, in the full year, from 13.6 million soles, or 19 céntimos per share.

As of March 14, US$1 was equivalent to 3.38 soles.
