Axyz fiscal Q4 profit falls YOY

Axyz Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥62.43 per share, a decrease of 14.7% from ¥73.23 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥350.6 million, a decrease of 14.7% from ¥411.3 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 7.9% from 8.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 5.4% on an annual basis to ¥4.42 billion from ¥4.67 billion, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥3.87 billion from ¥4.04 billion.

Reported net income fell 91.4% year over year to ¥29.0 million, or ¥5.16 per share, from ¥339.0 million, or ¥60.36 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥265.87 per share, a gain of 23.5% from ¥215.34 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥1.49 billion, a gain of 23.5% from ¥1.21 billion in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥18.38 billion from ¥17.66 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥16.04 billion from ¥15.80 billion.

The company said reported net income grew 12.1% year over year to ¥1.22 billion, or ¥217.77 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.09 billion, or ¥194.26 per share.

As of Sept. 23, US$1 was equivalent to ¥100.94.
