Japan's M2 money supply edged up 4.0% year over year to ¥987.8 trillion in November, following a 4.1% increase in October, preliminary data from the Bank of Japan showed.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the annualized M2 money stock, which includes currency in circulation and deposits, was up 4.4% to ¥989.4 trillion.
The M3 money stock rose 3.4% to ¥1,314.8 trillion year over year, the same as in October.
The L money stock, which includes M3 and other components, including foreign bonds, bank debentures and government securities, gained an annual 3.9% to ¥1,722.1 trillion in November, following a 4.1% increase in the prior month.
As of Dec. 8, US$1 was equivalent to ¥113.53.
