Khee San Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 1 Malaysian sen per share, a decline of 22.6% from 1 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 790,630 ringgits, a decrease of 9.8% from 876,880 ringgits in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.4% from 2.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 9.1% on an annual basis to 32.7 million ringgits from 30.0 million ringgits, and total operating expenses grew 10.8% from the prior-year period to 29.8 million ringgits from 26.8 million ringgits.
Reported net income declined 8.1% on an annual basis to 1.2 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share, from 1.3 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share.
As of Feb. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 3.61 ringgits.
