3 insurers to receive Medicaid managed care contracts in D.C.

AmeriHealth Caritas, Trusted Health Plan and Anthem Inc. subsidiary AMERIGROUP are slated to receive managed care contracts from the Washington, D.C., Department of Health Care Finance, the District of Columbia's Medicaid agency.

The contracts last one base year and four option years and take effect Oct. 1.

The District's Medicaid program has more than 181,400 members, according to the department.
