Anglo-Gulf Trade Bank to use blockchain to fill trade finance gap

British-UAE startup Anglo-Gulf Trade Bank aims to use blockchain to speed up transactions, as well as digitalize trade finance, to fill a gap between demand in trade finance and the supply chain, Reuters reported Oct. 17, citing Chairman Jeremy Parrish.

The bank is looking to launch in early 2019 and is awaiting final regulatory approval, Parrish said.
