Capital Small Finance Bank Ltd. plans to increase its branch network to 250 branches by 2021, The Economic Times of India reported Feb. 14.
The bank currently has 100 branches and its total business exceeds 44 billion Indian rupees, Managing Director Sarvjit Singh Samra said.
Samra expects the bank's business to grow to 120 billion rupees by March 31, 2021. He said the bank's conversion to a small finance bank has made it easier to grow its geographical footprint as there are no longer any barriers for its expansion.
The bank became the first small finance bank in India to start operations in April 2016.
As of Feb. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 64.07 Indian rupees.
