Phol Dhanya Q2 profit falls YOY

Phol Dhanya Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 3 satang per share, a decrease of 14.7% from 3 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 4.6 million baht, a decrease of 14.6% from 5.4 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.2% from 2.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 15.5% on an annual basis to 213.0 million baht from 184.4 million baht, and total operating expenses rose 14.1% year over year to 201.0 million baht from 176.2 million baht.

Reported net income fell 31.2% on an annual basis to 4.5 million baht, or 3 satang per share, from 6.6 million baht, or 4 satang per share.

As of Aug. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 35.12 baht.
