LV= Broker unit makes 3 appointments for personal lines business division

Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society Ltd. unit LV= Broker made three new appointments to its personal lines business to grow its motor and home portfolios.

The British insurance broker named Jonathan Santer head of home underwriting, Clive Upton head of personal lines underwriting of standard motor and Paul Miles head of personal lines underwriting of van, motorcycle and specialist.

Santer, who is personal lines motor manager with Allianz (UK) Ltd., will be in charge for LV= Broker's home underwriting team and responsible for defining and implementing the strategy. Upton, who most recently was motor underwriting manager at LV= Broker, will be accountable for the strategy, performance and development of the standard motor portfolio. Miles, who has served as head of commercial motor with LV= Broker since 2009, will be responsible for establishing the strategy for nonstandard motor business lines.

All three individuals will report to directly to Michael Lawrence, director of LV= Broker Personal Lines.
