CBS News fires Charlie Rose over sexual harassment allegations

CBS Corp.'s CBS News Inc. fired veteran anchor Charlie Rose following allegations of sexual harassment, Variety reported Nov. 21.

In a memo sent to CBS News staff by president David Rhodes, Rose's employment was reportedly terminated following the revelation "of extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior said to have revolved around his PBS program."

Bloomberg LP and PBS (US) also stopped the distribution of his "Charlie Rose" show amid claims of sexual harassment.
