Nike launches sneaker subscription service for kids

NIKE Inc. has launched a sneaker subscription service for kids called Nike Adventure Club.

According to an Aug. 12 announcement, the service offers more than 100 varieties of Nike and Converse sneakers for kids through sizes 4C to 7Y, or roughly from age 2 to 10.

The subscription is available in three tiers, ranging from four pairs to 12 pairs a year. Customers can change subscriptions any time and send back shoes they're ready to replace to Nike, which will either donate or recycle the returned item.

"We see Nike Adventure Club sits as having a unique place within Nike, and not just for it being the first sneaker club for kids," Dave Cobban, general manager of the sneaker subscription service, said in a statement. "It provides a wide range of options for kids, while at the same time, it removes a friction point for parents who are shopping on their behalf."
