Apple Inc. on April 6 launched a new free video editing app called Clips, which will allow iPhone and iPad owners to create videos to share on the Messages app or via social networks such as Facebook Inc. and Instagram Inc.
Clip's features include a simple interface for photo and video capturing, options for animated effects, and a Live Titles option that enables users to add live animated captions and titles by speaking. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
The tech giant first launched a paid video-editing app, iMovie, in 2010.
