TPG Sixth Street to invest £225M in UK pension superfund

Global credit and credit-related investment firm TPG Sixth Street Partners committed to an initial £225 million investment in Clara-Pensions, a U.K. defined-benefit pension consolidator.

TPG Sixth Street's investment is expected to grow to £500 million as Clara ramps up. The firm aims to consolidate £5 billion of pension liabilities over the next five years.

TPG Sixth Street's investment primes Clara to accept its first pension-scheme members, the company said.
