Japanese utility Kyushu Electric Power Company Inc. acquired a 25% interest in the owner of the 940-MW Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station.

Kyuden International Westmoreland completed the purchase in DGC Westmoreland LLC from Diamond Generating LLC on Nov. 27, according to a Dec. 5 filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

DGC Westmoreland owns a 50% interest in Tenaska Pennsylvania Partners LLC, which owns the combined-cycle facility in South Huntingdon Township, in Pennsylvania's Westmoreland County. (FERC docket EC20-6)
