China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. executive director and President Lin Dairen resigned Dec. 19.

Su Hengxuan was appointed president of the company and was redesignated as an executive director.


New Zealand-based Fidelity Life Assurance Co. Ltd. appointed Sian Johnson head of underwriting and new business, effective Jan. 21, 2019, Scoop reported.

Johnson will replace Stephen Potter in the role. She most recently served as chief underwriter at Partners Life Ltd.

Managed care

Cigna Corp. board member Jim Rogers died.

Rogers had served on Cigna's board since 2007.


Insurance brokerage and risk management firm Risk Strategies appointed Mark Manzi as national brokerage leader.

He most recently served as property and casualty division leader for the firm's healthcare practice.

Property and casualty

Ironshore Inc.'s lead underwriter for specialty casualty, Graeme McGeachie, and his team left the company, The Insurance Insider reported.

The team, which included Maria Mathews and Peter Graham, reportedly departed in the week of Dec. 10.


The Government Employees Insurance Co. board promoted Joe Pusateri to vice president of marketing.

He previously served as an assistant vice president in marketing.


IFG Cos. promoted Michael Vought to president of primary casualty and Tiffany Fann to senior vice president and head of excess casualty, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

Vought joined IFG in 2014 to launch its excess casualty unit. Fann also joined the company during the same year.


Robert Lasshofer was elected as a member of the Czech Republic-based VIG RE zajišťovna a.s. supervisory board, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

His term will expire March 31, 2021. Lasshofer is CEO of Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG.
