Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA issued €1.50 billion in five-year, floating-rate senior unsecured preferred bonds, Cbonds reported April 4, a day after Europa Press.
The notes, which will not be able to absorb losses, mature April 12, 2022, and carry a coupon of three-month EURIBOR plus 0.6%. Market sources told Europa Press that demand for the notes reached €3.25 billion.
BBVA, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Commerzbank, Crédit Agricole CIB, HSBC and UniCredit served as book runners.
