Voluntary administrators appointed to Capital Mining

Richard Albarran, Brent Kijurina and Cameron Shaw of Hall Chadwick Chartered Accountants were named as joint and several voluntary administrators of Capital Mining Ltd., according to a May 16 statement.

In June 2017, the company decided to terminate negotiations for the acquisition of Canadian company Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. Previously, Capital Mining reached a settlement with Broken Coast over a deal for the former to acquire up to a 50.1% stake in the latter.

Earlier this year, Capital Mining said it is considering closing its Capital Cannabis Ltd. unit following the decision to discontinue medical cannabis investment opportunities.
