Fancl Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥17.19 per share, an increase of 64.8% from ¥10.43 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.11 billion, a gain of 64.4% from ¥673.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.1% from 3.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥21.74 billion from ¥21.05 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥20.04 billion, compared with ¥20.05 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income grew 59.0% on an annual basis to ¥1.11 billion, or ¥17.23 per share, from ¥697.9 million, or ¥10.81 per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
