Mark Miller has become COO of AES Corp.'s U.S. strategic business unit, which includes IPALCO Enterprises Inc. and Indianapolis Power & Light Co., among others.
Miller replaces Andrew Horrocks, who will oversee major construction projects at other AES U.S. companies, including the company's Southland repowering projects in California, according to a Form 8-K filed March 29. The changes are effective March 23.
Miller joined AES in June 1989 and most recently served as East Complex manager of the strategic business unit, where he was responsible for a portfolio of coal, wind, and energy storage assets operating in the PJM market. He also serves as a director or officer of other AES affiliates.
In addition, Barry Bentley, Bradley Scott and Fabian Souza has been elected to the board of IPALCO Enterprises, effective March 28.
Bentley serves as vice president of customer operations of the strategic business unit, Scott is operations director for the U.S. Central Complex and senior vice president of power supply for Indianapolis Power & Light, and Souza is vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of AES.
